CAMBER FLICK'S OBOE STUDIO
Camber has been teach private oboe lessons and master classes since 2017. In 2020 Camber opened her virtual student and now teaches students in Indiana, Illinois, Texas, and Florida. As a educator and performer Camber knows the importance of getting to know the student and understanding their backgrounds, musical needs, and goals in order to set the student on the path of success. Camber will work with your student to better their technique, tone, and overall playing ability.
Music Philosophy
I firmly believe that music is for all and that everyone can engage in and create music. While every student may not play in famous orchestras or military bands it is important to note the difference that music can have in everyday lives. My job as a music educator is to empower students in their growth and knowledge of music. Music is a community consisting of art, history, language, and math. As such, our schools should be an interworking community to reflect this connection between all the subjects that occur in music. I strive to collaborate with my fellow educators to create a community that will connect and better communicate all the different thoughts and history that goes into music making for the student.
LESSONS VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON
Camber lives in Miami, Florida and is receiving new students, virtually and in-person across the United States. Due to Covid-19 Camber has developed and organized a series of procedures to ensure that her online students can mature just as quickly as her in person students. A few of these procedures are listed below:
The student and teacher have their own copy of the music etude books and solo books they use in every lesson.
When working on band music the students/parents send pictures of the music via email before the lesson so that Camber can work on their band materials as well.
Please refer to my studio policy document for further details.
For local students Camber is equipped with all the CDC approved equipment to make sure that both she and the students are protected from Covid-19.
